Step-by-Step Guide to Creating a Fast WordPress Website with Vultr VPS Hosting and Control Panel

To start, sign up for a Vultr account and click on the “Sign Up” button. If you are unsure of how to create a virtual account, visit my website for a step-by-step process. Once you have signed up, click on the plus icon and select “Deploy New Server.” Choose the “Cloud Compute” option and use the high frequency option for the best performance.
Next, select the server location closest to your audience and search for Cyber Panel in the “Server Image” section. Choose the six dollar per month plan, but if you are using a Woocommerce website with a lot of products and traffic, it is recommended to use the 2GB plan. You can turn off the auto backup option to decrease the price and add SSH keys later if needed.
In the “Server Host Name” section, label it as “server.yourdomain.com.” It is important to not use just your “domain.com” as CyberPanel may not allow you to create a website with that same domain. Once everything is set, click on “Deploy Now.” The installation process will take about 5–10 minutes and the status will change to “Running” once it is complete.
Click on the server instance and wait for the installation process to finish. When it is complete, you will see a message stating the server login username is “root” and the password is provided. Paste the password in the clipboard and press enter. You will then be logged into the Cyber Panel control panel.
From here, you can create a new website by clicking on the “Websites” tab and selecting “Add Website.” Enter the domain name and choose WordPress as the application. You can also add an email account and select an SSL certificate if desired. Click on “Submit” to create the website.
To install WordPress, go to the “Applications” tab and select “WordPress.” Choose the domain name and click on “Install.” Fill in the necessary information for the WordPress installation and click on “Install Now.”
Once the installation is complete, you can log in to your WordPress website with the username and password you provided during the installation process.
